group policies and international best practices.<br \/>\nUltimately responsible for ensuring the embedment and enforcement of an adequate and effective compliance program in M-Pesa in order to foster and adhere to sprit of compliance in business operation and customer services.<\/p>\n<p><b>Key accountabilities;<\/b><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li style=\"list-style-type: none;\">\n<ul>\n<li>Design and implement a legal and regulatory compliance programme in order to ensure mobile financial services compliance risks are appropriately addressed and managed.<\/li>\n<li>Ensure M-Pesa has the necessary and appropriate framework and level of controls in place to safeguard against Anti Bribery\/Corruption (ABC) and all transactions comply fully with Economic Sanctions and Trade Export Controls and Vodafone Group best practice standards and requirements.<\/li>\n<li>Ensure M-Pesa has the necessary and appropriate level of controls in place to safeguard all money transfer systems, processes and procedures in order comply fully with relevant legislation in particular Anti-Money Laundering (AML) legislation as well as Vodafone Group best practice standards\/ requirements.<\/li>\n<li>Ensure that the annual Policy Compliance Review (PCR) runs smoothly within the set deadlines.<\/li>\n<li>Carry out Due diligences for M-Pesa Agents and Customers against potential risks relating to ABC, AML, Anti-Terrorist Funding, and Economic Sanctions and Trade Export.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><script async src=\"httpsss:\/\/pagead2.googlesyndication.com\/pagead\/js\/adsbygoogle.js\"><\/script><br \/>\n<!-- 2019-CreativeAD --><br \/>\n<ins class=\"adsbygoogle\" style=\"display: block;\" data-ad-client=\"ca-pub-4564014896468666\" data-ad-slot=\"8884173138\" data-ad-format=\"auto\" data-full-width-responsive=\"true\"><\/ins><br \/>\n<script>\n     (adsbygoogle = window.adsbygoogle || []).push({});\n<\/script><\/p>\n<p><b>Must have technical\/professional qualifications:<\/b><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Legal, Business, Finance or Accounting background<\/li>\n<li>Comprehensive understanding of the financial sector statutory, regulatory and business environment.<\/li>\n<li>Minimum 5 years\u2019 experience in the financial services industry, of which 3 years in the Compliance, Financial Crime or audit function in banking, or telecommunication.<\/li>\n<li>Exposure to monitoring \/ auditing principles<\/li>\n<li>ACAMS certification will be added advantage<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><b>&#8216;Core competencies;<\/b><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Self-motivated, professional and able to maintain confidence when under pressure;<\/li>\n<li>Flexible and Adaptable<\/li>\n<li>Good communication skills.<\/li>\n<li>Reliable and trustworthy.<\/li>\n<li>Strong interpersonal skills.<\/li>\n<li>Good analytical skills.<\/li>\n<li>Continually seeks to improve the way things are done, proposing innovative solutions.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><script async src=\"httpsss:\/\/pagead2.googlesyndication.com\/pagead\/js\/adsbygoogle.js\"><\/script><br \/>\n<!-- 2019 Links AD --><br \/>\n<ins class=\"adsbygoogle\" style=\"display: block;\" data-ad-client=\"ca-pub-4564014896468666\" data-ad-slot=\"9648899391\" data-ad-format=\"link\" data-full-width-responsive=\"true\"><\/ins><br \/>\n<script>\n     (adsbygoogle = window.adsbygoogle || []).push({});\n<\/script><\/p>\n<p><b><a href=\"httpsss:\/\/careers.vodafone.com\/job\/head-of-compliance-m-pesa-in-dar-es-salaam-jid-27725\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer nofollow\">CLICK HERE TO APPLY<\/a><\/b><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>&nbsp;
