It is a Parastatal Organization under the Ministry of Industry and Trade. TBS introduced internship programs for graduates from diverse academic backgrounds to have exposure in development issues and a first-hand impression of the day-to-day working environment of the Bureau.<\/p>\n<p>The core functions of TBS are:<\/p>\n<p>Formulation and promulgation of Tanzania standards in all sectors of the country\u2019s economy<br \/>\nImplementation of the promulgated standards through third party certification schemes;<br \/>\nImproving the quality of industrial products both for export and local consumption through various certification schemes;<br \/>\nPromotion of standardization and quality assurance services in industry and commerce through training of personnel in Company Standardization, Quality Assurance and Management Systems, Quality Improvement, Laboratory Techniques and Accreditation, Packaging Technology and Hazard Analysis and Critical Control Points (HACCP);<br \/>\nUndertaking testing of product samples drawn by TBS Inspectors in the course of Implementing standards (certification samples), requested by manufacturers themselves (type-testing samples), brought by consumers (consumer complaints samples) or for checking laboratory proficiency (proficiency testing samples);<br \/>\nUndertaking calibration of industrial and scientific measuring equipment and instruments in the area of mass, length, volume, energy, temperature, etc.<\/p>\n<p>TBS is currently looking for thirty-two (32) graduates at degree, diploma and certificate levels among the fields mentioned below for Internship program to learn and practice the above core functions. Preferred candidates should be dynamic, committed, suitably qualified, dedicated and eager to learn and develop experience through assigned tasks:<\/p>\n<p><script async src=\"\/\/pagead2.googlesyndication.com\/pagead\/js\/adsbygoogle.js\"><\/script><br \/>\n<ins class=\"adsbygoogle\" style=\"display: block; text-align: center;\" data-ad-layout=\"in-article\" data-ad-format=\"fluid\" data-ad-client=\"ca-pub-4564014896468666\" data-ad-slot=\"3464335665\"><\/ins><br \/>\n<script>\n     (adsbygoogle = window.adsbygoogle || []).push({});\n<\/script><\/p>\n<p><b>18 Interns<\/b>\u00a0for Core functions (15 for Imports Inspection; 1 for Namanga Border; 1 for Mutukula Border and 1 for Sirari Border)<\/p>\n<p><b>Required qualifications:<\/b><\/p>\n<p>Bachelor of Science in Chemistry<br \/>\nBachelor of Science in Microbiology<br \/>\nBachelor of Science in Geology<br \/>\nBachelor of Science in Petroleum Chemistry<br \/>\nBachelor of Science in Environmental Health Sciences<br \/>\nBachelor of Science in Food Science and Technology<br \/>\nBachelor of Science in Computer Science<br \/>\nBachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering<br \/>\nBachelor of Science in Automobile Engineering<br \/>\nBachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering<br \/>\nBachelor of Science in Civil Engineering<br \/>\nBachelor of Science in Environmental Engineering<br \/>\nBachelor of Science in Computer Engineering<br \/>\nBachelor of Science in Telecommunications Engineering<br \/>\nBachelor of Science in Chemical and Process Engineering<br \/>\nBachelor of Science in Agricultural Engineering<br \/>\nBachelor of Science in Textile Engineering<br \/>\nBachelor of Science in Mining Engineering<br \/>\nBachelor of Science in Petroleum Engineering<br \/>\nBachelor of Science in Electronics Engineering<\/p>\n<p><b>14 Interns\u00a0<\/b>for Support functions<\/p>\n<p><b>Required qualifications:<\/b><\/p>\n<p>Bachelor of Arts in Economics or Statistics (2 interns)<br \/>\nBachelor of ICT, Computer Science or Computer Engineering (3 interns)<br \/>\nDiploma in Journalism with skills in video shooting and production (1 intern)<br \/>\nDiploma in Records Management (6 interns)<br \/>\nDiploma in Procurement (1 intern)<br \/>\nCertificate in Laboratory Science (Level II \u2013 1 intern)<\/p>\n<p><b>NB: GENERAL CONDITIONS<\/b><\/p>\n<p>All applicants must be Tanzanians, graduating between 2017 to 2019 only.<br \/>\nAll applicants must attach an up-to-date Curriculum Vitae (CV) having reliable contacts; postal address, e-mail and telephone numbers.<br \/>\nAll applicants should indicate three reputable referees, one must be from Academic Institutions with their reliable contact e-mails and telephone numbers. iv. The maximum period for individual program is one year, no intern shall be reappointed as Bureau\u2019s intern after completion of one year of his\/her tenure as intern at TBS.<br \/>\nApplicant for Border Offices must indicate specific border in the subject line.<br \/>\nApplicants must attach their certified copies of the following certificates;<br \/>\nDegree\/Diploma\/Certificates;<br \/>\nDegree\/Diploma transcripts;<br \/>\nForm IV and Form VI National Examination Certificates; and Birth certificate or National Identity Card.<br \/>\nAttaching copies of the following certificates is strictly not accepted;<br \/>\nForm IV and form VI results slips; and<br \/>\nTestimonials and all Partial transcripts.
