The general policies and guidelines to run Authority are provided by the Ministry of Water. EWURA and Board of Directors<\/p>\n<p>The Authority is looking for competent, dynamic, energetic, committed, experienced and well qualified Tanzanian who is capable of embracing and driving change in MORUWASA to fill the following vacant posts;-<\/p>\n<hr \/>\n<p><strong>ASSISTANT TECHNICIAN II (Pump Operator) \u2013 07 Posts<\/strong><br \/>\n<strong>Qualification<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Holder of a Form IV Secondary Education Certificate with a Trade Test 11\/ I in Electrical engineering. Mechanical Engineering. Pump Engineering or equivalent from a well-recognized institution.<br \/>\nDuties and Responsibilities<br \/>\nOperates the water pumps according to agreed schedules and ensures that the right nuantitv of watpr is numneri from the stnraap tanks<br \/>\nMonitors water level in the storage water tanks\/dam.<br \/>\nCarries out service and maintenance of water pumps, dosing pumps, water filters and gate valves.<br \/>\nMonitors availability of electricity and record on electricity power failure.<br \/>\nEnsures that the required dosage of chlorine\/chemicals is administered according to the required standards.<br \/>\nEnsures cleanliness of water pumps, pump house dam and surroundings<br \/>\nMaintains records of plants and pump performance and reports any breakdowns immediately.<br \/>\nRecords the amount of pumped water at established time intervals.<br \/>\nMakes meter reading of electricity consumption at established time intervals.<br \/>\nRecords pressure gauge performance at established intervals.<br \/>\nMakes rain gauge readings at established time intervals.<br \/>\nKeeps in safe custody water treatment chemicals and reagents.<br \/>\nAdvises on the stock level of chemicals.<br \/>\nDevelops individual performance objectives, targets and standards in consultation with the immediate superior as part of performance agreement<br \/>\nPerforms any other duties as may be assigned by supervisor<\/p>\n<hr \/>\n<p><script async src=\"\/\/pagead2.googlesyndication.com\/pagead\/js\/adsbygoogle.js\"><\/script><br \/>\n<ins class=\"adsbygoogle\" style=\"display: block; text-align: center;\" data-ad-layout=\"in-article\" data-ad-format=\"fluid\" data-ad-client=\"ca-pub-4564014896468666\" data-ad-slot=\"3464335665\"><\/ins><br \/>\n<script>\n     (adsbygoogle = window.adsbygoogle || []).push({});\n<\/script><br \/>\n<strong>PROCUREMENT AND SUPPLIES OFFICER II- 01 Posts<\/strong><br \/>\n<strong>Qualifications<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Holder of a Bachelor Degree in Materials Management. Procurement and Supplies Management. Logistics Management or equivalent qualification from a recognized Institution who has been registered by the PSPTB as Graduate Procurement and Supplies Professional.<br \/>\nDuties and Responsibilities<br \/>\nTo follow up overdue orders,<br \/>\nTo prepare stock report.<br \/>\nTo clear goods imported by MORUWASA;<br \/>\nTo carry out stock balancing in quantity and value every week, monthly, quarterly, half year and end of year;<br \/>\nTo maintain files and records of stocks prices, quantities, suppliers lists, specifications catalogues and other information;<br \/>\nTo conduct periodic inspection and stocktaking of materials &amp; suppliers;<br \/>\nTo maintain updated inventory of goods, supplies and materials;<br \/>\nTo perform any other related duties as may be assigned by the supervisor.<\/p>\n<hr \/>\n<p><strong>HUMAN RESOURCES AND ADMINISTRATIVE MANAGER (01 Post)<\/strong><br \/>\nReporting Relationship Reports to : Managing Director<\/p>\n<p>Supervises : Heads of Sections for Human Resources and Administration<br \/>\nPurpose of the job:<br \/>\nTo manage Human resources and other assets of the authority.<br \/>\nQualifications<br \/>\nHolder of a Master\u2019s Degree in Public Administration. Human Resources Management Commerce\/Business Administration majoring in Human Resources Management or equivalent from a well-recognized institution with relevant work experience of ten (10) years, computer application and management skills with three years\u2019 in senior managerial position.<br \/>\nDuties and Responsibilities:<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>Manages the human resources and administrative functions of the authority.<br \/>\nOversees the human resources functions of MORUWASA in terms of recruitment, remuneration, appraisals, promotions, staff welfare and motivation, training needs, terminations, benefits and disciplinary matters, and ensures staff rules and regulations are understood and followed.<br \/>\nEnsures all internal services are delivered according to departmental needs, and coordinates all management reports on internal services status for submission to the Management.<br \/>\nEnsures that MORUWASA property is properly insured against all types of perils, including, fire, burglary, physical and financial loss. etc.<br \/>\nSupervises human resource functions to ensure schedules of manpower and skill inventory needs of the authority at all levels are maintained in view of current and future operations.<br \/>\nSupervises human resource functions to ensure recruitment and selection of human resources required by the authority.<br \/>\nRegularly review Organisation Structure, Administrative Manuals and Schemes of Service.<br \/>\nCarries out staff performance appraisal and review of remuneration of the authority.<br \/>\nDevelops and implements human resources and administrative policies; such as leave administration, training and discipline.<br \/>\nDevelops individual performance objectives, targets and standards in consultation with the immediate superior as part of performance agreement.<br \/>\nConducts open performance review and appraisal of subordinates and gives feedback.<br \/>\nPerforms any other related duties as assigned by the Managing Director.<\/p>\n<hr \/>\n<p><strong>ASSISTANT TECHNICIAN II (Plumber) \u2013 03 Posts<\/strong><br \/>\n<strong>Qualification<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Holder of a Form IV Secondary Education Certificate with a: Trade Test ll\/l in Plumbing\/ Pipe fitting or equivalent from a well-recognized institution.<br \/>\nDuties and Responsibilities<br \/>\nReports all water leakage as assigned.<br \/>\nReports water loss, distribution faults and recommend necessary action.<br \/>\nConnects water supply to customers as scheduled.<br \/>\nReports unauthorized water connections.<br \/>\nReports sewerage pipe faults to responsible officers.<br \/>\nCarries out water disconnections of debtors and reconnections after payment<br \/>\nMaintains proper records of water connections\/disconnections\/reconnections carried out.<br \/>\nReports water pipe bursts.<br \/>\nPrepares data for periodical reports to the supervisor.<br \/>\nReports contamination of water distribution system by customer\u2019s service lines.<br \/>\nDevelops individual performance objectives, targets and standards in consultation with the immediate superior as part of performance agreement<br \/>\nPerforms any other duties as may be assigned by the Supervisor<\/p>\n<p><strong>ASSISTANT TECHNICIAN II (Meter Reader) \u2013 07 Posts<\/strong><br \/>\nQualification<\/p>\n<p>Holder of a Form IV Secondary Education Certificate with a: Trade Test ll\/l in Plumbing\/ Pipe fitting or equivalent from a well-recognized institution.<br \/>\nDuties and Responsibilities<\/p>\n<p>To carry out meter reading<br \/>\nTo distribute water bills<br \/>\nTo carry out water connection and disconnections as instructed<br \/>\nTo inspect water meters<br \/>\nTo perform any other related duties as may be assigned by the Supervisor<\/p>\n<p><strong>GENERAL CONDITIONS<\/strong><br \/>\nAll applicants must be aged between 18 to 44 years old.<br \/>\nAll employed Applicants must apply through their employers.<br \/>\nWith a covering letter.
