We aim to stop the spread of the worldwide epidemic of TB and to prevent the further spread of drug-resistant TB.<\/p>\n<p>Over the past century we have built up a wealth of knowledge and expertise, initially by successfully controlling TB in the Netherlands. Since the 1970s, we have also shared our knowledge and expertise with the rest of the world. We operate from a central office in The Hague in the Netherlands, a regional office in Central Asia and country offices worldwide. KNCV raises funds from private, institutional, corporate, and government donors.<br \/>\n<script async src=\"\/\/pagead2.googlesyndication.com\/pagead\/js\/adsbygoogle.js\"><\/script><br \/>\n<ins class=\"adsbygoogle\" style=\"display: block; text-align: center;\" data-ad-layout=\"in-article\" data-ad-format=\"fluid\" data-ad-client=\"ca-pub-4564014896468666\" data-ad-slot=\"3464335665\"><\/ins><br \/>\n<script>\n     (adsbygoogle = window.adsbygoogle || []).push({});\n<\/script><br \/>\n<b>Position in the organization<\/b><\/p>\n<p>The IT Officer will be involved with all information, communication and technology issues within the project and will provide support on an agreed schedule and whenever a need arises. He\/she will report directly to the IMPAACT4TB Project Manager and will maintain close communication and coordination with the IMPAACT4TB Administrative Assistant.<\/p>\n<p><b>As IT Officer you will:<\/b><\/p>\n<p>Oversee installation of all IT systems and ensure backup systems operate effectively;<br \/>\nVerify purchase of hardware and software;<br \/>\nEvaluate user needs and system functionality and ensure the IT facilities meet these needs;<br \/>\nOffer users appropriate support and advise;<br \/>\nIdentify the IMPAACT4TB IT requirements and give independent and objective advise on the use of IT;<br \/>\nManage and enable all IT issues involving the REDCap database;<br \/>\nManage crisis situations which may involve complex technical hardware and software problems;<br \/>\nSchedule upgrade and security backups of hardware and software systems;<br \/>\nResearch, design, test, install and monitor new systems as needed;<br \/>\nGuarantee the smooth running of all IT systems, including security systems, office applications and communication infrastructures;<br \/>\nEnsure that software licensing laws are adhered to;<br \/>\nProvide secure network access to remote users;<br \/>\nSecure project data from internal and external attack;<br \/>\nMentor and train staff on IT matters, including user manuals to users of any new system.<br \/>\nWho are we looking for?<\/p>\n<p><b>Education<\/b><\/p>\n<p>Bachelor\u2019s degree\/Advanced Diploma in Computer Science, ICT, or Computer Engineering.<\/p>\n<p><b>Knowledge\/Experience<\/b><\/p>\n<p>At least 5 years\u2019 experience in managing ICT sections of projects; preferably health related;<br \/>\nKnowledge of Microsoft Windows 2000, XP, Vista, Microsoft Suite 2010, 2013, Adobe Acrobat, WinZip\/WinRAR;<br \/>\nExperience in taking the lead on projects and implement them to completion;<br \/>\nExceptional troubleshooting and analytical problem-solving skills;<br \/>\nOpen and excited to learn new technologies.<\/p>\n<p><b>Behavioral competencies and skills<\/b><\/p>\n<p>Strong planning and time management skills;<br \/>\nSelf-directed and motivated to take ownership of projects;<br \/>\nStrong written and oral communication skills in English and Swahili, including the ability to make presentations;<br \/>\nAbility to work independently most of the time;<br \/>\nAbility to multitask with ease, adapting to frequently changing priorities;<br \/>\nAbility to cope with a demanding work environment and to organize and prioritize workload.<\/p>\n<p><b>What do we offer?<\/b><\/p>\n<p>A part-time fixed-term contract for a year, with the intention to extend the contract;<br \/>\nAn informal work atmosphere in an international environment where initiative is appreciated;<br \/>\nA highly-motivated team of experienced, self-driven colleagues;<br \/>\nThe salary is dependent upon education and relevant working experience;<br \/>\nKNCV Tuberculosis Foundation has its own HR Manual<\/p>\n<p><script async src=\"\/\/pagead2.googlesyndication.com\/pagead\/js\/adsbygoogle.js\"><\/script><br \/>\n<!-- linkAD.2 --><br \/>\n<ins class=\"adsbygoogle\" style=\"display: block;\" data-ad-client=\"ca-pub-4564014896468666\" data-ad-slot=\"3390598296\" data-ad-format=\"link\"><\/ins><br \/>\n<script>\n(adsbygoogle = window.adsbygoogle || []).push({});\n<\/script><br \/>\n<b>Application and Information<\/b><\/p>\n<p>You can apply for this position by submitting your CV, including a motivation letter and 3 professional references, via HERE. before 20 June 2019.
