We aim to stop the spread of the worldwide epidemic of TB and to prevent the further spread of drug-resistant TB.<\/p>\n<p>Over the past century we have built up a wealth of knowledge and expertise, initially by successfully controlling TB in the Netherlands. Since the 1970s, we have also shared our knowledge and expertise with the rest of the world. We operate from a central office in The Hague in the Netherlands, a regional office in Central Asia and country offices worldwide. KNCV raises funds from private, institutional, corporate, and government donors.<\/p>\n<p><b>Purpose of the assignment<\/b><br \/>\nThe Finance &amp; Administrative Officer is responsible for the financial management, administration &amp; human resource management of the country office in accordance with the Tanzanian legislation and KNCV HRM Manual.<\/p>\n<p>The Finance &amp; Administrative Officer supervises the Finance &amp; Administrative Assistant.<br \/>\n<script async src=\"\/\/pagead2.googlesyndication.com\/pagead\/js\/adsbygoogle.js\"><\/script><br \/>\n<ins class=\"adsbygoogle\" style=\"display: block; text-align: center;\" data-ad-layout=\"in-article\" data-ad-format=\"fluid\" data-ad-client=\"ca-pub-4564014896468666\" data-ad-slot=\"3464335665\"><\/ins><br \/>\n<script>\n     (adsbygoogle = window.adsbygoogle || []).push({});\n<\/script><br \/>\n<b>Position in the organization<\/b><br \/>\nHe\/she will report directly to the Project Manager(s) and will maintain close communication and coordination with the headquarters\u2019 office KNCV Finance and\u00a0 HRM division.<\/p>\n<p><b>As Finance &amp; Administrative Officer you will:<\/b><br \/>\nSupport the Project Managers with financial, administrative and HR issues;<\/p>\n<p>Ensure the financial, administrative and human resource related policies and documents are updated and implemented;<br \/>\nSupervise the Administrative Assistant;<br \/>\nEnsure the accounting transactions are in accordance with local law, generally accepted Accounting Principles, KNCV and donor policies, and any cost principles imposed by KNCV or the projects;<br \/>\nSupport the Project Managers in development of project budgets and cash flow projections;<br \/>\nKeep timely, complete and correct financial transactions;<br \/>\nFacilitate accurate and timely submission of monthly financial reports; review monthly balance sheet reconciliations including bank reconciliation;<br \/>\nMonitor availability of funds so that cash flow adequately supports project activities;<br \/>\nContact person for audits by internal and external auditors, and will provide support during audit and resolve audit queries;<br \/>\nMonitor and analyze monthly operating results against budget; provide results of such analysis for project monitoring to the Project Managers and the headquarters\u2019 office KNCV Finance Officer as required;<br \/>\nPrepare the monthly payroll and ensure timely settlement of payroll deductions to the relevant reporting authorities;<br \/>\nProduce all essential regulatory bodies\u2019 statutory reports as per the required format and reporting timeline;<br \/>\nEnsure compliance with legislative requirements of the government, KNCV country office manual and other KCNV manuals, and donor requirements;<br \/>\nEnsure the effective monitoring and tracking of project properties including maintenance and insurance of the inventory.<\/p>\n<p><b>Who are we looking for?<\/b><\/p>\n<p><b>Education<\/b><\/p>\n<p>Bachelor\u2019s Degree in Finance, Accounting, Management or CPA.<\/p>\n<p><b>Knowledge\/Experience<\/b><\/p>\n<p>Minimum of 5 years\u2019 experience in accounting, finance, administration and human resources, preferably with an international organization;<br \/>\nExperience with donor funded projects in a public health related field preferred;<br \/>\nDemonstrated experience and skills in planning, budgeting and forecasting, financial management and financial reporting;<br \/>\nHigh degree of communications skills and sense of urgency particularly attuned to working well with non-finance professionals;<br \/>\nUsed to working in a fast-moving environment providing accurate and timely information of a high standard.<\/p>\n<p><b>Behavioral competencies and skills<\/b><\/p>\n<p>Excellent command of written and spoken English and Swahili;<br \/>\nExcellent skills in Microsoft Word, Excel, Power Point, Outlook;<br \/>\nKnowledge of Exact accounting package and\/or similar accounting software;<br \/>\nAbility to efficiently organize work;<br \/>\nAbility to work as part of a team and independently;<br \/>\nAbility to cope with a high demanding work environment and to organize and prioritize workload;<br \/>\nAbility to work with national and international teams.<\/p>\n<p><b>What do we offer?<\/b><\/p>\n<p>A full time (40 hours) fixed-term contract for a year, with the intention to extend the contract;<br \/>\nAn informal work atmosphere in an international environment where initiative is appreciated;<br \/>\nA highly-motivated team of experienced, self-driven colleagues;<br \/>\nThe salary is dependent upon education and relevant working experience;<br \/>\nKNCV Tuberculosis Foundation has its own HR Manual.<br \/>\n<script async src=\"\/\/pagead2.googlesyndication.com\/pagead\/js\/adsbygoogle.js\"><\/script><br \/>\n<!-- linkAD.2 --><br \/>\n<ins class=\"adsbygoogle\" style=\"display: block;\" data-ad-client=\"ca-pub-4564014896468666\" data-ad-slot=\"3390598296\" data-ad-format=\"link\"><\/ins><br \/>\n<script>\n(adsbygoogle = window.adsbygoogle || []).push({});\n<\/script><\/p>\n<p><b>Application and Information<\/b><\/p>\n<p>You can apply for this position by submitting your CV, including a motivation letter and 3 professional references, via HERE. before 20 June 2019.
