The Photographische Gesellschaft, (PHG)\u00a0is the longest-standing photographic society in the German-speaking countries and the second-oldest in the world.<br \/>\nIt was founded on 22 March 1861 by Anton Georg Martin at the Austrian Academy of Sciences in Vienna.<br \/>\nEdition Lammerhuber\u00a0is an Austrian publisher<a href=\"httpss:\/\/www.unistoretz.com\/magazine\">,<\/a> based in Baden near Vienna, dedicated to photography and to the interpretation of science and art.<\/p>\n<p><strong>The Alfred Fried Photography Award aims to present human efforts to live together in peace and the quest for beauty and goodness in our lives. The award goes to those photographs that best express the idea that our future lies in peaceful coexistence.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><script async src=\"\/\/pagead2.googlesyndication.com\/pagead\/js\/adsbygoogle.js\"><\/script><br \/>\n<ins class=\"adsbygoogle\" style=\"display: block; text-align: center;\" data-ad-layout=\"in-article\" data-ad-format=\"fluid\" data-ad-client=\"ca-pub-4564014896468666\" data-ad-slot=\"3464335665\"><\/ins><br \/>\n<script>\n     (adsbygoogle = window.adsbygoogle || []).push({});\n<\/script><\/p>\n<div class=\"fusion-title title fusion-sep-none fusion-title-size-three fusion-border-below-title\">\n<h3 class=\"title-heading-left\" data-fontsize=\"18\" data-lineheight=\"24\">Summary of opportunity<\/h3>\n<\/div>\n<p><strong>The winner of the\u00a0Alfred Fried Photography Award\u00a0will receive the sum of\u00a0\u20ac 10,000.<\/strong> In addition, the top five listed photographers will be awarded the Alfred Fried Peace Medal.\u00a0The winner of the\u00a0Childen Peace Image of the Year\u00a0will receive the sum of\u00a0\u20ac 1,000.
