{"id":10510,"date":"2019-04-15T10:25:57","date_gmt":"2019-04-15T07:25:57","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.unistoretz.com\/magazine\/?p=10510"},"modified":"2019-04-15T10:26:51","modified_gmt":"2019-04-15T07:26:51","slug":"funding-opportunities-call-for-proposals-unesco-launches-its-10th-ifcd-call-for-applications","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.unistoretz.com\/magazine\/funding-opportunities-call-for-proposals-unesco-launches-its-10th-ifcd-call-for-applications\/","title":{"rendered":"Funding Opportunities-CALL FOR PROPOSALS, UNESCO launches its 10th IFCD call for applications"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>APPLY FOR FUNDING OPPORTUNITIES<br \/>\n<script async src=\"\/\/pagead2.googlesyndication.com\/pagead\/js\/adsbygoogle.js\"><\/script><br \/>\n<!-- linkAD.2 --><br \/>\n<ins class=\"adsbygoogle\" style=\"display: block;\" data-ad-client=\"ca-pub-4564014896468666\" data-ad-slot=\"3390598296\" data-ad-format=\"link\"><\/ins><br \/>\n<script>\n(adsbygoogle = window.adsbygoogle || []).push({});\n<\/script><br \/>\nUntil\u00a0<strong>13 June 2019<\/strong>, UNESCO will be accepting proposals for innovative projects that aim to strengthen the cultural and creative sectors in developing countries, in the framework of its 10th IFCD call for applications.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"httpsss:\/\/en.unesco.org\/creativity\/ifcd\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">The International Fund for Cultural Diversity (IFCD)<\/a>\u00a0is a multi-donor fund, established by the UNESCO Convention on the Protection and Promotion of the Diversity of Cultural Expressions (2005) to support its implementation in developing countries.<\/p>\n<p>The IFCD\u00a0invests in projects that lead to structural change through:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>the introduction and\/or elaboration of policies and strategies that have a direct impact on the creation, production, distribution of and access to a diversity of cultural expressions, including cultural goods, services and activities;<\/li>\n<li>the reinforcement of human and institutional capacities of public sector and civil society organizations deemed necessary to support viable local and regional cultural industries and markets in developing countries.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Public authorities\/institutions and NGOs from developing countries that are Parties to the 2005 Convention, as well as international NGOs are all eligible to apply.<\/p>\n<p>Since 2010, the IFCD has provided nearly 7 million USD in funding for 105 projects in more than 50 developing countries, covering a wide range of areas.\u00a0<a href=\"httpsss:\/\/en.unesco.org\/creativity\/ifcd\/discover-projects\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">See Projects funded by the IFCD<\/a><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<div class=\"panel-pane pane-custom pane-1\">\n<div class=\"pane-content\">\n<h3>Eligible projects<\/h3>\n<p>The IFCD invests in projects that lead to structural change through:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>the introduction and\/or elaboration of policies and strategies that have a direct effect on the creation, production, distribution of and access to a diversity of cultural expressions, including cultural goods, services and activities;<\/li>\n<li>the reinforcement of human and institutional capacities of public sector and civil society organizations, deemed necessary to support viable local and regional cultural industries and markets in developing countries.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><script async src=\"\/\/pagead2.googlesyndication.com\/pagead\/js\/adsbygoogle.js\"><\/script><br \/>\n<ins class=\"adsbygoogle\" style=\"display: block;
