The primary functions of the Regional Manager\u2019s Office include management of maintenance and development of the network, axle load control, implementation of road safety and environmental measures, Road Reserve Management and provision of technical advice and consultancy services to other Government and private Institutions on issues road related in the Region.<\/p>\n<p>The Regional Manager, TANROADS Iringa on behalf of the Chief Executive TANROADS is looking for open minded and creative candidates who are motivated to work within a modern and dynamic environment.<br \/>\nApplications are invited from suitably qualified and competent Tanzanians to fill the various vacancies in the region on contract term (Renewable subject to satisfactory performance).<\/p>\n<p><b>DRIVER \u2013 (2 POSTS)<\/b><br \/>\n<b><br \/>\n<\/b><b>Key Qualifications for the Driver;<\/b><br \/>\nForm IV Certificate<br \/>\nValid Class C Driving Licence- with good track record in driving<br \/>\nHold Basic Driving Course offered by VETA or any other recognised institution<br \/>\nPass the agency\u2019s competitive interview work<\/p>\n<p>More than 3 years experience<br \/>\nMust speak fluent Kiswahili and preferably be able to communicate in English<br \/>\nMust be Tanzanian Citizen<br \/>\nAge Not below 35<br \/>\n<b><br \/>\n<\/b><b>A KEY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES<\/b><br \/>\nTo drive Agency\u2019s motor vehicles<br \/>\nTo maintain the vehicles log book.<br \/>\nTo undertake motor vehicle services.<br \/>\nTo maintain safety and cleanliness of the motor vehicle ajira<\/p>\n<p>To delivers and collects mail and goods.<br \/>\nUnderstands defences while on road<br \/>\nInspect the vehicle before and after \u201csafari\u201d in order to identify defects that may need maintenance<br \/>\nTo perform such other related duties as may be assigned by the supervisor<br \/>\n==========<\/p>\n<p><b>POSITION TITLE: WEIGHBRIDGE CASHIER \u2013 (2 POSTS)<\/b><\/p>\n<p>1. Holder of ordinary Diploma in Accountancy or ATEC II or equivalent.<br \/>\n2. Must be Computer literate (at least Advance Certificate in Computer Applications);<br \/>\n3. Must be fluent in both written and spoken Kiswahili and English Languages:<br \/>\n4. Must be Tanzanian Citizen;<br \/>\n5. Not above 35 years of Age. (provide birth certificate)<\/p>\n<p><b>Duties and Responsibilities of Weigh bridge Cashier.<\/b><\/p>\n<p>The holder of this post who reports to Shift In charge will be responsible for:<br \/>\n1. Record properly all required weighbridge accounting information.<br \/>\n2. Ensure that all necessary accounting forms at the weigh bridge station are properly filled and kept.<br \/>\n3. Provide reports on axle loading accounting procedures which may be required.<br \/>\n4. Take care of weigh bridge accountable documents<br \/>\n5. Cooperate with the relevant parties involved in the axle control operations.<br \/>\n6. Implement directives relating to axle load control from the high authority and station supervisor.<\/p>\n<p>7. To receive money and issue receipts to defaulters.<br \/>\n8. Ensure that all receipts are timely recorded and banked.<br \/>\n9. Maintain accurate records of receipts received\/issued<br \/>\n10. Arranges the prompt of utility and other invoices related to the day to day running of the office.<br \/>\n11. Maintain defaulters register<br \/>\n12. Performs any other duties as may be assigned from time kazi<\/p>\n<p>===========<\/p>\n<p><b>POSITION TITLE: WEIGHBRIDGE OPERATOR-(7 POSTS)<\/b><br \/>\n<b><br \/>\n<\/b><b>Key qualifications for the weighbridge Operator;<\/b><br \/>\nMust be Holder of Ordinary Secondary Education Certificate.<br \/>\nMust have an FTC or Diploma in Civil, Highway, Mechanical\/Electrical Engineering or any other related discipline from any recognised Learning Institution\/Collage;<br \/>\nComputer literate;<br \/>\nNot above 35 years of age<br \/>\nMust be fluent in both Swahili and English language;<br \/>\nMust be a Tanzanian Citizen<br \/>\nDuties and Responsibilities of the Weighbridge Operator<\/p>\n<p>Enforcing Road Traffic Axle Load Control by the use of Weighbridge Scale devices; Weigh Motor vehicle with Gross Vehicle Mass (GVM)&gt;3.500 kg on public roads; Imposing road damage fee on the spot for overloaded vehicle;<\/p>\n<p>Measuring physical dimension of motor vehicle or any load being carried on the motor vehicle and providing advice to transporters in case of non compliance with vehicle dimension limit;<br \/>\nFor truck carrying abnormal load with special permit, the Weighbridge operator shall ascertain compliance to the permit.
