{"id":10175,"date":"2019-02-23T11:19:31","date_gmt":"2019-02-23T08:19:31","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.unistoretz.com\/magazine\/?p=10175"},"modified":"2019-02-23T11:20:42","modified_gmt":"2019-02-23T08:20:42","slug":"jobs-opportunities-at-tanzania-red-cross-society","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.unistoretz.com\/magazine\/jobs-opportunities-at-tanzania-red-cross-society\/","title":{"rendered":"Jobs Opportunities at Tanzania Red Cross Society"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><b>Position:\u00a0Procurement Officer\/Cum Administrator<\/b><br \/>\nReport to: Project Manager<br \/>\nLocation \u2013 Shinyanga\/Simiyu<br \/>\nContract Period is one (1) year with potential for renewal<br \/>\nAge Limit-Not above 45<br \/>\n<script async src=\"\/\/pagead2.googlesyndication.com\/pagead\/js\/adsbygoogle.js\"><\/script><br \/>\n<!-- linkAD.2 --><br \/>\n<ins class=\"adsbygoogle\" style=\"display: block;\" data-ad-client=\"ca-pub-4564014896468666\" data-ad-slot=\"3390598296\" data-ad-format=\"link\"><\/ins><br \/>\n<script>\n(adsbygoogle = window.adsbygoogle || []).push({});\n<\/script><br \/>\n<b>Responsibilities<\/b><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Receive supplier invoices, indicate the date received on the invoice, and review the invoice and supporting Local Purchase Order (LPO) or contract, file appropriately;<\/li>\n<li>Ensure that the following have been provided by the supplier \u2013 Copy of Certificate of Incorporation, TIN and\/or VAT<\/li>\n<li>Coordinating and monitoring supply chain operations within the Project.<\/li>\n<li>Ensuring premises, assets and communications are used effectively<\/li>\n<li>Utilize logistics IT to optimize procedures.<\/li>\n<li>Supervise orders and arrange stocking of raw materials and equipment to ensure they meet needs<\/li>\n<li>Communicate with suppliers, retailers, customers etc. to achieve profitable deals and mutual satisfaction<\/li>\n<li>Prepare accurate reports for upper management.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><b>Requirements<\/b><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>BSc\/BA in supply chain management or relevant field<\/li>\n<li>Proven experience as Procurement officer not less than five years<\/li>\n<li>Experience in customer service will be appreciated<\/li>\n<li>Knowledge of laws, regulations and ISO requirements<\/li>\n<li>Ability to work with little supervision and track multiple processes<\/li>\n<li>Computer-savvy with a working knowledge of logistics software (ERP)<\/li>\n<li>Outstanding organizational and coordination abilities<\/li>\n<li>Excellent communication and interpersonal skills<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Position:\u00a0<b>Assistant Accountant\u00a0<\/b><br \/>\n<b><br \/>\n<\/b>Job Description<br \/>\nReporting: Field Manager.<br \/>\nLocation: Kibondo, Kigoma<br \/>\nContract Period is one (1) year with potential for renewal<br \/>\nAge Limit-Not above 45<\/p>\n<p><b>Job Description<\/b><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Prepare Cash book.<\/li>\n<li>Prepare Bank Reconciliation Statements<\/li>\n<li>Ensure all pending invoices are properly authorized and all supporting documents attached<\/li>\n<li>Prepare all payment vouchers for review by the Finance Manager\/Project Manager<\/li>\n<li>Follow up to ensure cheques are signed as per mandate<\/li>\n<li>Disburse all cheques once ready and have cheques banked when required<\/li>\n<li>Ensure persons collecting cheques sign the cheque payment register, and provide some identification in the form of ID cards, passport or driving license<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><b>Qualifications.<\/b><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Bachelor degree in Commerce (B.com) or equivalent in Accounting or Finance is required.<\/li>\n<li>Minimum of four years of progressive financial management experience is required.<\/li>\n<li>Professional qualification in accountancy such as ACCA or CPA will be added advantage.<\/li>\n<li>Minimum three years of experience from an international NGO is required; International NGO field experience is preferred.<\/li>\n<li>Demonstrated experience and skills with budget preparation and analysis, financial reporting preparation and presentation and proven ability to translate technical financial data to informative reports.<\/li>\n<li>Strong accounting skills and experience, including management of general ledger, journals entries, payroll, payables etc.<\/li>\n<li>Advanced computer skills in MS office programs, particularly excel.<\/li>\n<li>Experience in working with several accounting packages.<\/li>\n<li>Excellent oral and written English skills.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><b>How to Apply<\/b><br \/>\n<script async src=\"\/\/pagead2.googlesyndication.com\/pagead\/js\/adsbygoogle.js\"><\/script><br \/>\n<ins class=\"adsbygoogle\" style=\"display: block;
