JILILI STUDENTS MENTORSHIP PROGRAM (JSMP)

BRIEFLY

This is the students mentoring program which intend to foster O-level and A-level students’ dreams towards their future educational goals. We prepare students to be global by encouraging academic excellence, connectedness, personal growth and development of their participation abilities in their studies and other social activities.

THEME OF THE PROGRAM

Generally, the main theme of this program is to encourage and inspire students at secondary schools to do their best in their studies and advice them on the techniques to use to balance academics and other social aspects during their entire life time in schools.

PROGRAM GOALS

• To enhance discipline, studentship skills, hardworking, and academic excellence in secondary schools in Shinyanga rural district.
• To encourage patriotism, raising awareness and determination among youth in schools so as to create competent professionals and leaders in the future.
• To sponsor students in their advanced level studies who performs better in their studies especially those with division one in Form Four results in Shinyanga rural district in order to encourage and inspire students who are still in schools.

Personal growth and development of students’ participation abilities

• Students who participate in JSMP will demonstrate a growth mindset
• Students who participate in JSMP will understand the importance of goal setting for higher achievement in their studies and future at large
• Students who participate in JSMP will demonstrate organization and time management skills.

ORGANIZATION OF JSMP

The program is initiated and organized by Students’ Oganization  leaders at university of Dar-es-salaam (Daruso) who are also members of Shinyanga rural district.
