MINISTRY OF EDUCATION : DEPUTY MINISTER STATEMENT ABOUT TSSF

Deputy Minister of Education, Science and Technology, Mr. William Tate Ole Nasha has recently suspended the transaction activities undertaken by the Tanzania Social Support Foundation (TSSF). Deputy Minister has said it immediately after meeting with the Director General of the Institute. Donati Silla and Secretary of Administration Mrs. Marwa Chacha with a view to analyzing various Tasks documents.

In the same analysis it has been noted that the entire process being carried out by the Institute is for gendarmes aimed at pushing students of Higher Education Institutions.
In this analysis it has been noted that the Institute does not have the financial capability to lend to Higher Education students. These accounts are said to be locked in CRDB, NMB, and EXIM Banks. In addition, the Deputy Minister has instructed all Higher Education Colleges to receive students from letters from the TSSF, and that the Ministry will continue to provide public information about 198 students who are already in the college and are promised to be credited with the institution. Already suspects including the Director-General of the Institute Mr. Donati Silla and Secretary of Administration Mrs. Marwa will be arrested by the Police Force for further investigation.
