Barcelona are eyeing Philippe Coutinho – if Neymar completes a world-record move to PSG.
Neymar continues to be tipped to make the switch to the French giants after he was involved in a training ground bust-up on Friday.
And Barca want Liverpool’s Coutinho to replace him, with Dele Alli and Eden Hazard also being monitored.
Meanwhile, Manchester United’s pursuit of Ivan Perisic appears to be over after failing to follow up their initial interest.
It remains to be seen if Arsenal go back in for Thomas Lemar but the Gunners remain without Alexis Sanchez….due to a cold.
Is he trying to force his way out of the Emirates?
Hornets eye Gibbs
- Watford want Arsenal’s Kieran Gibbs to be their new left-back.
Hornets boss Marco Silva has identified the left-back berth as a position to strengthen.
Gibbs is available having been left out of the Gunners’ pre-season tour to the Far East and their Emirates Cup squad.
The 27-year-old lost his first-team place to Nacho Monreal and made just eight Premier League starts last season.
Gibbs, who has 10 England caps, has a year left on his contract and new Watford manager Silva wants to increase his quota of English players.
But Gibbs would have to take a significant pay-cut to switch to Vicarage Road.
Premier League rivals West Brom were interested in Gibbs earlier this month but were unable to agree a fee with the Gunners.
Now it has opened the door to the Hornets to move for the Arsenal ex-trainee.
- Mourinho: Matic wants United
Jose Mourinho has refused to rule out a move for Chelsea midfielder Nemanja Matic – and hinted the ‘photoshopped’ picture of the star was real.
Manchester United are confident of closing in on the Serbian international and are expected to complete a switch this week.
The Red Devils are hoping to sign the two-time Premier League winner for £50m – with the Blues reluctantly selling to former boss Mourinho.
Matic was pictured in a United training top on social media – with fans unsure if the image was real or a doctored image.
- Alves wants Neymar at PSG
- Wenger: Sanchez stays at Arsenal
Arsene Wenger has made the astonishing claim that it is ‘ideal’ for star players to go into their final year without signing a new contract.
Alexis Sanchez continues to be linked with a big money move to Manchester City as he looks to play in the Champions League.
And he could be prepared to make an official transfer request if the club block his move when he returns to work this week.
The Chile superstar is currently in South America as he overcomes a bout of flu, but is due to fly back to England on Monday.
And after watching his new club-record £52million signing Alexandre Lacazette score on his full Emirates debut, Wenger is determined to keep his star forward who scored 30 goals last season and made 19 assists, even if it means losing him for nothing next summer
- Jose Mourinho insists Marouane Fellaini will not be leaving Manchester United for Galatasaray this summer
Jose Mourinho says Marouane Fellaini will not be leaving Manchester United this summer.
The Belgian midfielder was strongly linked with a move to Galatasaray, with the Turkish side’s sporting director Cenk Ergun revealing he was in negotiations over a move.
But Fellaini was named in the starting line-up for United’s friendly against Valerenga on Saturday evening and would score the opening goal in their 3-0 win.
Following the game Mourinho admitted that the 29-year-old is too important to him to let go.
