Description

Role purpose:
•    Overall accountability of M-Pesa HVC Segment
•    Accelerate HVC usage by enriching the portfolio’s propositions
•    Drive actionable HVC commercial insights and direct on how to be acted upon
•    Develop and execute a roadmap to maintaining a healthy HVC portfolio in line with the company roadmap
Key accountabilities and decision ownership 
•    Develop and Drive a strategy to deliver M-Pesa Core Products & Propositions for High Value Consumer Segment.
•    Drive cross-selling and upselling initiatives in HVC and Pre-HVC segments to increase the overall HVC base.
•    Develop and accelerate the M-Pesa High Value Consumer Products innovation roadmap implementation and revenue targets.
•    Perform frequent consumer Understanding activities and physical visits to learn the behaviour and/or pain points of this segment and provide key insights for channel development.
•    Consistent monitoring of the HVC Segment revenue, subscribers, usage and propositions to ensure a healthy HVC portfolio.
Key performance indicators:
•    HVC Market and Value Share.
•    Accurate and timely delivery of the execution plans specified on the calendar
•    End to end execution of HVC propositions and engagement plans
•    Quality of support and stakeholder alignment
Core competencies, knowledge and experience 
•    Excellent analytical and logical reasoning skills translated from consumer insights
•    Excellent communication skills
•    Strong stakeholder management skills
•    Ability to anticipate customer, competitor and market dynamics
•    Able to challenge the status quo
Must have technical/professional qualifications:
•    Bachelor degree in Business Administration, Economics, Marketing or its equivalent.
•    Strong analytical skills and business acumen.
•    Build and maintain relationship with key stakeholders in the value chain.
•    Telecommunications experience would be advantageous.
•    Project management knowledge and experience would be advantageous.

Job Responsibility

* Demonstrates a good understanding of procedures and concepts through extensive experience and advises on the delivery of planning and developing full end to end projects that focus on most strategic topics, setting the future direction of the business;

* Supports the team to deliver activities for definition and coordination of the department annual strategy process, to include transforming strategy into actions;

 defining and tracking progress against strategic priorities;

* identifying and asking key questions;

* Uses communication skills to exchange ideas and information in a concise and logical way to support the delivery of identifying opportunities and threats across the industry and technology landscape;

Business Developer – Mass Market at Vodacom 

Description

Role purpose: 
•    Overall acceleration of services penetration to M-Pesa Base.
•    Accelerate Gross Adds conversion and survival rate by enriching the portfolio’s propositions
•    Drive actionable base trend insights related to services uptake and direct on how to be acted upon
•    Develop and execute a nursery plan to maintaining a healthy subscriber base in line with the company roadmap
Key accountabilities and decision ownership 
•    Develop and implement a strategic service penetration strategy by working closely with analytics teams (Reporting & CVM) with the target of growing core services awareness and usage to the base.
•    Develop and drive efficient cross-selling & upselling campaigns to increase services usage through micro segmentation and customer intelligence.
•    Implement a comprehensive nursery plan for gross adds to ensure a sustainable survival rate.
•    Close collaboration with consumer business unit to Increase conversion for M-Pesa subscriber base by enhancing customers on boarding journey.
•    Collaborate with cross functional teams to improve and uncover insights that will engender service penetration and advise on appropriate interventions plans.
Key performance indicators:
•    Growth of services uptake by agreed percent.
•    Accurate and timely delivery & execution of action plans & initiatives
•    Growth of Goss Adds conversion rate

Retention Analyst at Vodacom 

Description

Role purpose: 
Execute the retention management strategy for Vodacom Tanzania and manage the delivery thereof through various customer value management activities. Define, manage and execute direct marketing and other campaigns that will maximise the customer’s lifetime value by increasing their tenure and growing their revenues/margins. Therefore, the 3 primary objectives of the role are:
•    Actively manage churn targets and work closely with relevant business units to prevent churn
•    Work across the business to develop and manage retention plans for all segments of the customer   base with a primary focus on new and high value customers
•    Define and manage the execution of the outbound customer contact plans (campaigns, commercial activities, loyalty programmes, etc.) for all retention initiatives
Key accountabilities and decision ownership 
•    Execute retention/churn management e.g. prepaid inactivity management, early churn detection
•    Prepare insightful reports on churn, retention and inactivity: setup and deliver IBRO reports, campaign ROI reports
•    Manage E2E campaigns to boost new customers’ survival focusing on OG activities and ARPU growth
•    Consistent monitoring of the overall customer base inactivity, subscribers, usage and propositions and recommend actions based on performance
•    Work with Regional teams to develop proactive custom inactivity campaign (location specific) based on competition movements and on-ground insights
Key performance indicators:
•    Annualized Churn Rate (churn as % of total base)
•    New Customers survival rate (% of GA with OG activity on M2)
•    E2E execution of inactivity management programs
•    Quality of support and stakeholder alignment
Core competencies, knowledge and experience

•    2+ years’ experience in customer value management programs

•    Strong SQL skills with experience in relational OLTP database models (OLAP is a plus)
•    Telecommunications experience would be advantageous.
•    Experience in coding with Python, JavaScript environment is an added bonus



Job Responsibility

* Plans and executes tactical campaigns, in line with the base growth and retention strategy and marketing concepts, with a good understanding of how they impact customers� perceptions and brand experience;

* Manages the scheduling and rules that determine message deployment and takes direct ownership for message performance;

* Understands the customer lifecycle concepts and uses them to help resolve problems and identify solutions to gain commercial improvements;

* Collaborates across company and functional teams (e.g. Operations, Brand, Finance, Regulatory, Technology) to ensure smooth delivery of targeted communications and campaigns;

* Adopts best practice processes/procedures with focus on customer and brand experience.
