Description
JOB PURPOSE
•Primarily responsible for providing direct sales support on post origination activities like documentation, reporting, etc by engaging with client, CRC, legal, compliance, etc
•Active engagement with client and also with the product partners to ensure high level of utilization of regular limits.
•Work with the RM on a specified portfolio and jointly responsible for the revenue growth
•Ensure high standards of hygiene (including OR, Portfolio management, Credit risk, etc) in the portfolio.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES 
Origination
•Strongly assist the RM in origination by preparing pitch book, industry leads, etc.
•Assist the RM and CA in preparing briefing notes for senior management visits.
•Document the client meetings attended by preparing a call report via the CRM system
•Ensure timely completion of account opening formalities of the client including collection of documents, signature verification etc., by liaising with cash operations & the CCM – Specialist teams.
•Work in partnership with FM to setup FEDS/MUREX ID and ISDA request

Client on-boarding & deal execution
•Assist the RM in liaising with Legal & Compliance, CRC and clients to resolve documentation issues like T & C deviations for standard documents.
•Obtain approval for modification in standard documentation wherever necessary from appropriate authority.
•Ensure documentation is completed and the limits loaded properly to ensure faster execution of the transaction.
•Work with the CDD team to ensure eCDDs are created and renewed on time.
•Seek approval from various authorities for release of trade offerings and release the deal in IMEX.

Account Management and portfolio quality
•Actively engage with client and also with the product partners to ensure high level of utilization of regular limits
•Work closely with product partners for coordinating client training for non- lending products. (Client training to be conducted by Product Partners.)
•Track past dues and excesses in the portfolio meticulously and ensure they are regularized on time. Any exceptions to be highlighted to CA and RM.
•Seek necessary approvals, wherever required and release trade offerings on time to ensure faster TAT on trade transactions.
•Co-ordinate with Ops / GSSC for any rectifying any ops related issues and issue SIFs wherever required within the authority.
•Ensure document deficiencies are minimum (as reflected by DDR, GDR, etc) and are rectified on time.
•Liaise with other banks for information sharing and seeking opinion reports and respond to NOC requests from other banks/NAK etc.
•Liaise with FAM/GAM/RAM for day to day account maintenance and operational issues.
•Arrange for stock inspection/Valuation
•Ensure correctness of data in SCI/CRM/CPPR, etc. Attend portfolio review meetings along with RM/CA/Team leaders
•Track and action on Failed Trade Report
•Ensure compliance of all internal/regulatory policies & regulations.

JOB PURPOSE
To handle Credit Documentation for CB/CIB Tanzania by doing the following:-
Provide high level quality support to Credit Approvers, Relationship Managers and related officers in the Business Unit while providing some independent control over the credit process.
Review / prepare Credit documentation in line with approved BCA
Issuance of Banking Facility Letters upon receipt of approved BCA ensure, observing TAT and high standards of accuracy.
Liaisons with external service providers on security documentation process and ensure securing documentation and conditions have been perfected/completed prior to drawdown of facility (unless waiver held).
Maintain & Update security documentation accurately in the Collateral Management System (CMS).
Issuance of SCC on receipt of last outstanding Security document as per the TAT.
To embed the Bank’s AML-CDD procedures for all borrowing relationships.
Maintain service quality standards towards Bank’s out serve initiative.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
1.To prepare and issue final (clean type) Banking Facility Letters for dispatch within TAT.
Issue SCC within TAT of receipt of last outstanding item.
3.To follow- up directly with underwriters on the related renewals and topping- up of Insurance or seeking valuation reports/top- up of cash shortfalls for continued compliance with securing documentation.
Issue deficiency reports upon receipt of BCA/Accepted BFL.
Embed AML-CDD procedures to all borrowing relationships (refer existing checklist).
To instruct and follow up Bank’s external lawyers in the preparation of non-standard documentation.
Processing of incoming documents up to custodian function.
To maintain accurate and complete records in CMS/files for all security documentation.
Processing of instructions by business for limit realignment.
To generate reminders to Corporate/Personal guarantors on their contingent liability to the Bank biannually.
Support the Bank’s “Here for Good” brand promise and enhance the Bank’s profile on corporate social responsibility by participation in community projects
Ensure proper vault management as a vault combination back-up for CRC-CDM
Perform any other task as directed by the line manager in supporting unit functions.
Attend all relevant governance meetings including Executive Risk Committee (ERC), Credit Issue Committee (CIC)

EXPERIENCE / KNOWLEDGE REQUIRED
-Good knowledge on Bank’s products and services.
-Good working knowledge of the operation of other departments. -Good working knowledge on companies Act and legal requirements for perfection of security documentation.
-Good supervisory and management skills.

PURPOSE:
•Participate and support SCO in optimisation of usage of available capital resources and the creation of a desired portfolio risk profile through the application, in conjunction with the business, of Portfolio Standards and Risk Appetite principles.
•Approve BCAs under personal delegated credit authority.
•Effective management and monitoring of underwriting and control disciplines to ensure good turnaround times, a well managed portfolio and the enforcement of credit risk policies.
•Management of all stakeholders including developing relationships with business partners and balancing the role with stakeholder expectations.
•Ensure to maintain a strong credit culture and the highest standards and apply all the credit policies
•Ensuring quick transparent escalation of important issues and providing critical and timely inputs to key risk forums.
•To ensure that quality of credit portfolio is maintained within acceptable parameters as defined by the group and local business strategy.
•Monitor and report excesses, breach of limit terms, early alert indicators and ensure that all such accounts are managed as per laid down procedures.
•Undertake regular customer visits to keep abreast of local market developments.

RESPONSIBILITIES: 
Portfolio Management
•Assist with the formulation of annual Risk Appetite and Portfolio Standards in Tanzania through joint sponsorship with the business.
•Influence and monitor through use of Risk MI the shape and composition of the portfolio against approved Standards, and escalate breaches with recommendations for remedial action.
•To proactively manage the portfolio and improve the quality of the book by growing in acceptable sectors/client segments with top quartile names, acceptable credit grade and risk/reward profile in line with business strategy.
•To continuously monitor the portfolio through Leading Indicators, 80/20 and other Tail Management initiatives so as to manage down slackening sectors/ individual names.
•To analyse the portfolio on an ongoing basis to identify exposure/ industry concentration and undertake remedial measures to rebalance the same by preparing the monthly Portfolio Standard Tracker and reporting the breaches.
•To monitor and identify signs of deterioration on individual names with a view to commence early remedial management of these accounts and thereby minimise loan losses thus directly contributing to bottom line.

Governance
•Prepare monthly reports such as Portfolio Standard Tracker.
•Regularly review audit and CRR reports / KCIs & CSTs and identify key trends.
•Prepare all the inputs required from Credit Risk to assist the CCRO office.
•Prepare To stress test the respective country portfolios as appropriate to manage downside risks.
•Produce data and analysis/commentary for the Risk Information Report (“RIR”).
•Maintain vigilance over data quality and drive ongoing improvement.
•Support CRC by Monitoring and reviewing the daily excess reports / CMS report (for documentation deficiencies) / monthly RB reports
•Ensure timely submission of various Credit Risk reports to Finance and Compliance for Regulatory Reporting to the respective Central Banks.
•Ensure timely submission of data to region on EAR updates ,Local and Group Credit Policy Breaches

Credit Process Management
•Ensuring that the quality of Credit Applications meets Group standards, particularly with regard to the completeness and depth of risk analysis.
•Approving of Credit Applications falling within own discretion and support of applications, which require approval outside the territory.
•Attending the local Credit Issues Committees for respective countries to review credit related issues.
•To instil a strong credit culture and provide leadership to RM’s.
•Assisting relationship managers in identification and managing up or out of accounts exhibiting signs of deterioration and assisting Special Assets Management, where appropriate, in managing substandard accounts to maximise recoveries and minimise losses.
•Discuss with business and approve daily transaction
•Support credit request (Transactions / BCAs / Waivers) to SCO / CCO

KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS: 
5+ years experience in banking. Functional experience in Corporate Banking Credit Risk Management.
MBA /CA/CFA with experience in treasury/relationship management/consultancy and risk management;
Good communication skills – written and oral;
Good knowledge and grasp of banking practice, financial markets, Basel II and ICAAP, risk appetite, and portfolio management techniques;
Hands on knowledge of the regulatory frameworks within the region;
Strong analytical skills and ability to influence and resolve disputes. Enjoy decision making and have sense of ownership;
Multi cultural awareness and sensitivity;
Command respect of cross functional peers and business heads working in open ended situations;
